In some of the old cities of northern and eastern Europe, grand townhouses as well as otherwise modest homes are embellished with elaborate Baroque gables.  These photographs bring the viewer's attention to the "space between" and the way in which the architectural scrollwork shapes the sky.  In this set, the colors are reduced to near-neutrals, i.e. warm and cool variations of grey that "suggest" color.
